The basic facts: it's a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. It hasn't run in 20 years. It's really green, but it has this black paint on it. The body is not in very bad shape at all.

The older pictures have moved here.

Work has begun again, now that spring is here. Jeff's goals for the summer are to take off the front and rear suspensions and get them in shape, and to begin working the engine rebuild. Once the suspensions are off, the body will need to be put on something to move it around. Current thought is that something can be easily constructed to hold the body; something with casters so it can be moved.

August 24: Not much progress that can be show in pictures so far this summer, though work continues. He is painting the disassembled suspension pieces, but that's been slowed by the awful humidity. Hopefully we'll be able to show a reassembled front suspension soon-ish.

June 2: some pictures of the disassembled suspension. Part of it is going to the machine shop sometime this week.

Lovely  Who knows if it'll all go together easily  Ready for the machine shop  Looks a little rusty to me

May 3rd: he removed the front suspension, as shown below. He attached it to the hoist with the chains, unbolted it, and it dropped. After some annoyances getting it out from under the body, it was onto a dolly where it awaits repair.

The suspension is still in the car at this point  Isn't this exciting?  Hanging on the hoist  Here's the body with no suspension in front

The first picture here is a valve spring compressor. Has nothing to do with suspensions, but he found it at a garage sale for $5 and that's very exciting. As you can see, the suspension is ready for action now.

Oooh, pretty.  It was annoying to get it out from under the body  There it is  And here it is again
